Then the next day just in time for the grand event of water to the water wheel our son, grandchildren, and their dog Bonnie arrive.
Getting a top view.
The long, long awaited water arrives.
A beautiful sight to us all.
We and especially Billy have worked so hard for this moment.
The end of the day I just sat on the bank and watched and watched. It was something else!
I know you all are getting tired of seeing the waterwheel but I do hope to have the video on showing it running(with water). I am having some computer problems lately, but I will try the video later and get on to more farm stuff.
Thank you all for being with us on our journey to the finish of the water wheel, rock bridge and mill pond. It has been a wonderful trip for our family.
Have a great day!

I can almost hear the splash of the water. Please tell Billy the water wheel is beautiful!
Wow- I love it! I can just about imagine how it sounds... I remember how the old water wheel in Cades Coves sounds, and that's what I'm imagining right now. Can't wait to see the video!
By the way, the jasmine is blooming here now...
What a beautiful water wheel. Thanks so much for keeping us up to date.
I see you have an etsy shop. Good luck to you. I love etsy and still get excited when i make a sale.
Never tire of your pictures! The water wheel has been a wonderful adventure filled with history and hard work!
This will never grow old to me. I love every picture and word! I envy you so much, having the space and place and muscle to do this. It is AWESOME!!!! I miss the sound of the river flowing, especially at night, when we'd lie in bed with the windows open. Everything was so quiet and all you could hear was the breeze through the cottonwood trees and the river rolling by. Great memories....So you write on Pam---let us know what all is going on in your neck of the woods.....
I'm not tired of it! I really enjoy hearing about it and seeing your pictures. If my daughter ever gets back on line I'm sending her here to see too.
I love that picture of the kids with the wagon and the dog. Great shot!
The pictures are great! I especially like the one of your son and his children-that would make a good postcard! Still wish I had a water wheel.
Another amazing feat! It is so gratifying to build something yourself, make it work and watch it go! I "know" how proud you both are and rightfully so. What a great place for the family to gather.
Yay! it is working.
I love the water wheel, have never seen one and am enjoying the progress.
and her Mom said,
Congratulations to all of you on a job well done. It's been very interesting watching the progress of the water wheel and I know you all must be proud of all the hard work you put into it.
Thanks Jan, I told him. He enjoys compliments.

Hi Nunyaa. I am so glad you are getting to see a water wheel. I appreciate your visits.
Hi Emma and Mom, Thank you for your nice comments and visits.
So cool!
Wow I love your site. I wish we could have a water wheel!
Our pond is drying up as we speak. We feed it with our well but it gets expesive with the electric pump runnig all day sometimes. We don't have a spring or creek.
We just dug a 300 ft. well that reaches the trinity river basin. My husband and his buddy bought a rig and drilled one on his friends place first and now ours. It is our 3rd well.
We only live on 25 acres with 45 goats and three dogs. LOVE it. Lot of hard work but worth every penny!
I will be a regular on your site. My brother told me that he found it and thought we had a lot in common. I think he's right!!
Good luck and congrats on your wheel!!!
Jewels
great wheel! do you have an estimate on the horsepower or wattage it would produce if hooked up to a generator?
