Friday is here already and you know what that means. Farm Friday pictures!
Billy has been hard at work down at the water wheel site putting rocks along the banks of the creek. BoDog always willing to help or at least take a swim.
I took a little time to smell the flowers, well look at them anyways. Notice the butterfly inside this Day Lilly.
Another Day Lilly.
I also took a little time to pet Buckeye.(Disregard the dirt under that person's finger nails, she had been working in the garden a few minutes earlier. Also, disregard it may look like man hands and needs a little hand lotion)
Belle took a little time to pet buckeye also.
Jack and the cows heading to the barn for supper yesterday.
I noticed yesterday morning some critter had been sampling the tomatoes.
Then as I was eating supper and looking out the kitchen window I caught the critters red handed. The guineas!
So,late yesterday evening, me and Billy had to put the wire panels around the tomatoes to keep the guineas out. We will put chicken wire across the top later today.
Always something to keep us busy down on the farm.
Have a good day!

Always a lot happenin' down on the farm! Buckeye has some gentle eyes.
Too bad those tomatos couldn't have been fried green! ;) Ever tried them that way?
I gave up on nice soft hands a long time ago. LOL Love visiting and seeing your animals and the things you have been doing. I had to put a fence around everything here because of rabbits. Have a great weekend
The farm is looking good! I love the picture of Belle and Buckeye.
I love Farm Friday. Bad Guinea's stealing tastes of the tomatoes!!!
Even my hands, without living on a farm, are anything but perfect. Yours look just fine to me!
NO DSL.....dial up? NOW I see the light....no wonder you were asking the question to BLOG OR NOT TO BLOG....OK see me being funny!
I love the Guinea's! OK I have a bit of a confession...these days I seem like a City GIRL (BIG CITY OF SAVANNAH)....but I actaully GREW up in VA across the STREET from my UNCLES FARM! Yeppers! So HMMMMM SEE why I like your blog....it takes me back!
The only thing is I got so attached to the ANIMALS....well lets just say I did the VEGETARIAN thing! OOO I would eat meat only IF I SAW that it WAS PACKAGED from the SAFEWAY.....hehe...well I did not know any of those CREATURES after all!!!!
OK have a great weekend!!!!
Love all the photos!
I love the photos. You've inspired me to go spend time in my own tiny garden today.. no chickens to feed my weeds to, though! No tomatoes yet. Though this posts reminds me that we used to have a dog who would carefully pick our tomatoes and then bring them over to us, hoping we'd play ball with him.
I think BoDog has the right answer--get in the water where it's cool! Hope y'all have a wonderful weekend!
And I'm so happy to see you will continue to blog! I've got to follow those chickens and if you stop blogging, how am I gonna know what they are up to!
I want to pet Buckeye, too! He is absolutely ADORABLE!
I noticed the bench sitting there in front of the water wheel. I can just picture you guys sitting there enjoying the peaceful sound of your very large water feature. hehe
Good for Bo dog to be so helpful, too. The rocks look so natural and give a nice finished look to that area.
Oh, and if you didn't have dirt under your fingernails I would be doubting your true farm lifestyle.
Dirt under the nails and rough hands are the generous gift of taking care of animals, doing barn and farm chores, and growing vegetables.
I think your hands look beautiful.
and her Mom said,
I so love Farm Fridays and all the wonderful pictures. The flowers were amazing and the butterfly in the flower was wonderful to see.
Your hands look great to me!
Every time, I visit your blog, it's as if I'm on the farm with you.
Thank you for all the hard work you do taking pictures, writing, and sharing it all with us.
Are Belle and Buckeye Jerseys? They kinda look like it. Gosh, those flowers are beautiful!
The cows are so cute. Looks like you two stay busy keeping that farm up. Y'all are doing a great job. I keep my fingernails short because I work with my hands a lot. But in the summer time I do pamper my toenails and keep them polished so they will look good with flip flops. I am a flip flop old lady.
Try to rest some this weekend. ;)
This blog is so relaxing to read. I mean obviously you all are working your tails off on the farm. But me, I am much happier reading about farm life than actually doing it myself. I am glad you decided to keep blogging. It puts a smile on my face :)
garden is looking good.
Darn those guineas! You could still cut away the gnawed spots, slice 'em and fry 'em. We love fried green tomatoes.
We have pens around the kohlrabi to keep the bunnies out. and always put big cages around the tomatoes because of the robins. They break off branches of tomatoes and peppers.
More darned birds. Oh, well. we love the birds, too.
Buckeye is so sweet looking.
Love the pictures.
Thanks Pony Girl-oh yeah! fried green tomatoes. I'll have to post those one day.
