It seems like yesterday when my little biddies arrived.
What a day that was. Click here to see more>Biddies.
Now they look like this.
The Rooster Award for the month goes to. Drum roll please.........
Mainly because this little Silver SeBright didn't chase me around the yard while I was taking these pictures.
The most crowing award goes to this Golden SeBright.
Crowing again on another gate.
Here are a few of the Turken chickens. A BB Red Bantam, Buff Orpington and a Dominique behind them.
A Golden Polish only missing a few tail feathers.
Unlike this poor fellow missing all his tail feathers. The Golden and Silver Polish chickens seem to get picked on the most.
A Buff Orpington and a Light Brahma roosters. They are good natured chickens.
One of the Dominiques. We call them domineckers in this part of the woods.
And last but not least. My free rare exotic chick that Murray McMurray Hatchery sent with our order. He just doesn't look that exotic to me though. Does he to you??
We haven't gotten the first egg yet. I think they should go laying soon though. We still have the chicken house to build before fall. The sawmill should be going next month and we will have the lumber sawed out for the new chicken house.
I hope you all have a great weekend!

I get tired just reading what you are up to. The chickens are beautiful and bet you soon will be covered in eggs.

That silver one is a beauty. Well they are all beautiful looking creatures and they look so healthy. What a treat.
My daughter and I was looking at different blogs and came across yours. We love it, my daughter is in 4-H and shows chickens, so we have alot of chickens on our place.
Would it be ok if we put your blog link on ours?
Neat pictures! The Dominecker is pretty.
Silver Queen is our favorite corn.
What nice chickens. Those poor polish, they are so cool looking but always seem to get picked on. I'd like a few but don't want to feel bad about them getting picked on.
Love the pictures. You have an awesome mix of chickens. Once they start laying, you will be wondering what to do with all the eggs. I have five layers right now but I hatched out a bunch of chicks this year so I should have about 25 layers soon. Good luck with the roosters, they can be a pain.
Ohh...I love your chickens! I have some hens and one rooster and what is it with the hens loving to pick the poor rooster's tail feathers??? It drives me crazy, my poor rooster is so beautiful but has absolutely no tail feathers!

Fuuny how the Domineckers looks so much like Barred Rocks. What makes them different? Can you tell?
That one rare breed? What the heck is it? haha Reminds me a bit of an EE.
Your Polish chickens are so pretty, even without tails. I don't know how my polish are getting away without being picked on by my big girls. But so far, they look great. Which is a good thing because we are planning on taking the polish and silkies and showing them when they get older.
Can't be showing any bald chickens, now. hehehe
And I love your Sebrights. Gorgeous!
I love all the pictures of your chickens.
Chickens are some of the best critters to have. I just love mine.
By the way, I really like your blog.

Nice looking chickens.
Once again, I am amazed how beautiful these birds do get. I wish we had a place for chickens. I guess we have to be happy with looking at other peoples...*sigh*
Very healthy and fine looking chickens Pam. I miss hearing chickens and yes sometimes a rooster crowing in the mornings.
It is great to see the biddies again all grown up. That rare one is a hoot. Do you know what kind it is? The picture of the Light Brahma made me sad. Read what happened to mine in my latest post. I will get more next spring.
Hi everyone,
It's not intrusion but an humble request to the community here.
I have recently started an articles website and would request you (I will appreciate if you can) to please spare some time and post articles at my site.
Thanks

Love those photos, wish I could be there to see it at least once in my lifetime.
Thanks.
That is quite a conglomerate of chickens you have there! In terms of the price of the food they all eat up, I'll bet it's just "chicken feed!" (snort!)
I can't wait for the day I can buy some land and have some chickens!
Those are great photos!
Gotta love a bunch of chickens! Fun post.
Wow... when you start getting eggs, they'll be coming out of your ears!! We get about 12-15 a day and we're constantly giving them away!
Is that exotic a Maran??
