A Roll in the Hay

Good Morning,

Now... just what were you expecting?

The fall weather was just right for Lionel's roll in the hay yesterday.

Jack and the cows stop their morning grazing to see what is going on.

Jack just had to come closer to get a better look.

and Betsy had to check it out too.

In the meantime, Lionel takes a quick inspection to make sure there isn't a mouse hiding in the hay.

No mouse there. Lionel decides to find the perfect spot

to take a cat nap in the fall sunshine.

Are those martin houses? Do they seem to help with the mosquitoes?

Your critters are beautiful, and I like your fence, too.

Lionel seems to know how to have a good time.....We used to have a cat named Dillinger(after a famous crook) that slept in the sun on a hay bale in our garage. *sigh* brings back good memories....

Farm cats lead horrid, horrid lives, don't they? :)

Reminds me of our Spot--she's usually sleeping in the tractor seat.

What a personality! Siamese cats are really beautiful! Very different from our Egyptian looking cats here in Niger :-)

Hi Solomon. I think I am lucky for having Lionel around, too. Thanks

Yes, those are martin houses in the gourds, Tomato Lady. Martins do eat a lot of mosquitoes and help keep the crows run off from the garden.
Thanks

Thanks Pine Pod Farm. Lionel is part Himalayan.
