Farm Friday

Good Morning,
I wanted to share with you a few scenes from around the farm this week.

Mmmm good. Annie enjoying the last of the (click here)> muscadines .

A good place for a head scratching.

White Ears decides this is the spot to rest a spell.

Happy Chickens! I started letting the chickens out of the pen during the day and they are loving it. I just hope the hawks don't love the chickens.

It gives the goats and chicken some mingling time together.

Which they all seem to enjoy.

We have a separate pen for the Silver and Golden Polish chickens because the others picked on them so badly. I let them out too and so far the other chickens haven't bothered them this time.

Where did everybody go?

Oh! There you are.

Have a great day!

So are the goats itching themselves on the wood pile, or just having trouble walking straight?

Great pictures- it looks like everybody is enjoying themselves!!

And I hope the hawks stay away too. Darn things.

My oldest daughter has always loved goats, finally at 39 she has left the big city life and returned to her roots. One of her goals is to get 2 or 4 goats. I have been sharing your blog with her.

Thank you,
Linda

Don't you wish you knew what they were saying to each other? Let's imagine...

"Yo, chicken--where'd you get that freakish hair style?" Annie asked the chicken.

The goat replied, "Your momma did my hair, you silly goat!"

"mmmmm" white ears butted in, "let's not bicker now folks, we're all of the same farm here."

And it goes on and on and on.

Next week on "As The Farm Turns"....

Hey Nunyaa,
You will just have to come stay awhile then. Pack them bags, girl.

Hey Reynie, I laughed and laughed at your comment. That is so cute. I will have to do a soap opera version one day. Thanks

Thank-you so much Linda. I am happy you enjoy it. I appreciate you commenting. I do enjoy your sites so much also.

Hey Queenofplanethotflash. I appreciate your visit also. Thanks

Hi Christy. Thanks. It does make me feel good to see them happy too.

Hey Tracey. Yes, she is a Silver Polish and the sweetest chicken out there. She is farmMan's favorite. She follows him everywhere. Thanks

Hi Farsideof Fifty. The Polish chicks are strange and pretty at the same time.. Thanks.

Hey JillyBean. My chickens are all still laying right now. One way we found to keep them laying longer was to keep a light on in their pen at night. Thanks for the visit.

Thank-you everyone for your time to stop by and the comments.
Have a great day.

Goats and chickens! Fun, fun!

And you know how much I love your Polish chickens. hehe

We've not yet had any problems with our older hens picking on our younger polish chickens. And, as you know, our golden laced polish, Sultan Sid Vicious rules the coop. :)

I think alot of that picking on has to do with how large a coop or pen is, so that the chickens have room to move around, stay busy and not get bored and stressed by other chickens.
Your chickens are probably getting along better now because they are busy and happy foraging and exploring. Too busy to bother with your Polish cuties :)

Have a great weekend!
